As we get closer and closer to the first day of school I thought I would invite my loyal readers / followers in a video tour of our classroom.  We take a closer look at my centers, some behavior management pieces, and a new thing I am trying in my classroom called the safe place.  Check out the ‘my classroom‘ section on the website for more information.

For those who are looking for a more updated look to what my classroom looks like, look no further than this video here.

For those of you who are new to teaching, laying out / designing your classroom can be a bit intimidating.  Here are some pictures of what my previous classrooms looked like on the first day of school.  The key is not to put too much up on the first day.  Make enough space to allow for your instruction to guide the displays.  If you put too much up, you’ll find students can be over-whelmed.
